Business is about shipping scales and balances

The business of shipping is an interesting kind of business. When preparing to ship you can weigh the products to get a starting price for the product. If the package is say like a box in a small or medium size, then the price to ship the product is pretty straight forward. Now if you packace is like a pole or oversized there are extra charges based on overall size, weight and fragile rating. Just in case the package shipped with the wrong postage amount due size or if you charge a home shipping rate instead of the business rate the shipping company will bill you the shortage. This is at the time it is too late to back charge the customer.

To reduce the back bill from the shipping companies, we use the latest in scales and balances along with Postal Scales that calculate postage rates. Our Shipping scales interfaces with UPS Wordship software. The cost reduced some but every once in a while those nasty odd ball sized package will get shipped incorrect.

I might at some point invest in large scale industrial grade floor scales. If you need more information on scales go see the folks at Quick Supply, QuickSupply carries a large selection of Shipping Scale and balances to suite everyone’s business needs. Including commercial medical scales to Food scales for the supermarket, deli, or convenience stores. The part I like best is Free shipping on every order.  Nothing beats free.
