When your eyes expire

Have you noticed that things you buy have a limited life. What ever happened when you bought a product that is would last a long time, that is where the saying comes from “Getting your monies worth”. It seems like from cars to tv’s, that the product has very short life span and need to be replaced in a few years, even the multi-thousand dollar car. These days they design eyeglasses to only last a year, most of my eye glasses last over 5 years. For some reason your vision prescription expires every year, does that mean your eyes are now bad. The eye-glass people will not make your glasses if your vision has expired. But when my eyes expire they still work.
