In the south the housing price value downturn is minimized in the real estate markets of Alabama verses some of the other parts of the country. Just last month the real estate in Hoover, home values actually went up in price went down compared to some places in the country for 40-50 percent home value decline. The housing values have not decline as much in the south due to rebuilding of home infer-structure that had to be rebuilt from the past storms and bad weather that destroyed many coastal properties. I noticed that rebuilding increased in Arkansas due to their bad storms last weather season. I have spent several months in Little Rock area. The area of town would be to live near some of the new hot springs village real estate areas. My job changed a few months latter, that nixed the need for any thoughts of needing to move.
