Today’s job market is different from any job market before because it is full of highly trained individuals that are not longer employeed. For many different reasons companies are having to let go of what use to be valuable employees. These employees are highly trained in specific areas that may have worked with the company that they were employeed by but out in the job market the cruel reality is it may not fit you in any where else. I found that out with my computer training that I had. My story to unemployment was my company was sold to an overseas company and the main computer was moved to another state. My education was made for that job but I was there for 11 years and had increased my education to fit that job. When put into the job market it was like putting a square peg in a round hole. It was very frustrating to find how outdated my education was as well as my on the job training was too specific to fit me in with other companies that did the same thing. I was lost and had to start all over. With elearning you can learn the skills that you will need to become a hireable employee again. You know that you are job ready now you have to educate yourself so the employers can see that you are job ready. After doing some work on my education I was able to get a job that I actually enjoy so in the end it was a literal learning experience.
