There is nothing more important then the feeling of security in your home. When you are at home you should be able to have a safe feeling that helps you to relax and enjoy your home. For us we found that out the hard way. We took for granted our feeling that nothing would happen inside of our own home and for that we paid a price. We had a down stairs French door that lead out onto our patio. Our kids would go in and out so much during the day that we never locked it because it lead to the back yard. This was a big mistake. One day while we were at the store someone just went into our backdoor and went through our home taking what ever they wanted and left the same way. When we got home we were devastated. We never had a safe feeling in that home again. We took that time to learn about home alarms. We had an alarm put in the home later that week. When the alarm man came out he told us that that same door was a problem with it’s private location and the fact that if yanked really hard it would open. He installed the alarm and when we were awaken the very next week with our alarm going off and we never learned what set it off we decided to move. We had moved out and sold the house when we realized we had left something in the attic that we wanted back. We tried in vain to contact the new owners but because they had not moved in yet they did not have a way of reaching them directly. We went to the house and all I did was barely pull on that back door and it swung open. My heart sank and all I could do was get our box out of the attic and leave. The new owners took the doors out and installed a single door and a window that was a good decision. In our new home we hae an alarm system that can keep an eye on the house when we are and are not there. It is nice to have an extra set of eyes that does not sleep. By having an ADT Home Security system on our home I and my family feel the safety of a team watching over us. If I am totally honest I love having the sign in the front yard even that gives me a good feeling. Unless you experience the feeling of helplessness that comes along with someone coming into your home it is hard to put into words but if you have an alarm system on your home then you will not ever have to understand that feeling and that is what i want for everyone.
