December 1 is world AIDS Day.
This day has been marked as World AIDS Day since 1988. It is designed to bring attention to the AIDS pandemic. I did learn some that from the website, that United Nation says that in 2007 there are more than 33 million people world wide that are living with HIV or AIDS. I guess the old saying to wait until you are married comes into play. Here is where we should be ashamed, is that there are 2 million children under the age of 15 with AIDS-HIV. The focus here should be to keep adults from passing this disease down to children. This is what I think we should focus on. One amazing fact that I found was that out of the 300 million Americans, only, only 1 million Americans are currently living with HIV-AIDS. A very small number.
