Remembering site for birthdays and anniversaries

For us that did not get into line to get the organizing skills to keep up with and organize your family and friends birthdays, anniversaries, the last is my worst tracking and remembering, Mother’s day, Father’s day, Valentine’s day, and of course Christmas. The new site Webgiftr will help remind you of important holiday and family meeting events for your business contacts, family meeting, and friend events that I have problem tracking. Now I can let the Webgiftr do all my remembering and organizing for me. Sweet.

Walking with a purpose

In America we like causes, these causes can range from children to adult causes. The great thing we Americans do is we like to raise money for causes. It can be jumping rope to a walk. You sign up donors that will give you so much per jump or lap, then when the function is over you collect the money you raised for charity.

The folks of the Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk®, an event created to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research. This is another great cause that we sponser on a national basis. I am starting to notice that some of my 80+ year old relatives of mine can and will go in and out of memory, what I mean by that is one moment they are with us at this time, then the next they are back to something that happened to them 60-70 years ago. Sometimes it lasts for a few minutes and other times it can last for hours. The Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk® are looking for team captains and volunteers of all ages to champion the fight to find a cure for Alzheimers and take part raising money in the Memory walk.

The Alzheimer’s Memory Walk will take place in more that 600+ communities, this is done in association with Alzheimers Association, both orginizations are working on raising money toward moving a nation for a  cure to Alzheimers.

Twitter Attack

The evil spam folks has now started their craziness on the popular Twitter

A spam attacker can currently trick users into clicking on a link on a malicious or hacked Web site, this link then forces the victim’s Twitter account to automatically set to follow the attacker’s.
This vulnerability could expose users to the spam criminals malware-hosting Web sites. I am sure the more popular that twitter get’s the more the spam criminals will work on ways to scam users for their on evil gain. There might even some time have a Twitter police that scans and monitors Twitter to protect the users.

It is always one bad apple that messes it up for everyone

What happen to the Dots in Delicious?

One everybody’s favorite book marking platform has lost its dots. It seems the owner of Del.icio.us, Yahoo is dropping the dots, and has done a complete overhaul of the new Delicious.com social book marking tool. In the last few years the Del.icio.us has grown from 300k unique users to almos 5 million users, the Delicious service also boosts over 150 million bookmarking links. That is alot of links. With the update of its search engine, Delicious Version 2.0, is designed to work faster an more responsive and reliable with improved bookmark search. The old del.icio.us will continue to work, Yahoo says that you will need to login to the new Delicious.com because it requires a new log-in cookie.

This is pretty cool a large outfit like Yahoo taking advantage of the power of social Bookmarking
