The other day surfing the net, this caught my eye. Trade your CD’s, DVD,s and Books for new electronics.  What a great statement, I am need some new stuff like a TV, DVD player or a PS3 game station console.  I have a lot of CD’s, probably over two hundred of music that I have collected over the years.  This does not include my DVD collection that could be about the number as the CD’s.  I have even started counting to see if I have any books that I want recycle for electonics.  At first I thought this might not be on the straight forward.  I looked at the order form, oh my goodness this is going to take alot of keying.  Went back to the site and found they have available a scanner reader that will pull the data off the CD, DVD or book and load into the order form. Sweet reducing my time spent keying. A big purk.  I then contacted AbudaTrade to order the scanner, I talked to a very friendly service person that informed me they would send me the next available scanner. I have all ready collect over 170 used cds, next we will need to go through my DVD collection to pull out movies I can trade for a PS3 game console. I want one because the kids can play all the latest games on it and I can watch Blu-ray movies. I guess that means I will need to start a Blu-ray DVD collection next. This also could also be away for some to buy large screen TVs for their childrens christmas.

Oops I still need to go through all my books also. Would like to complete by the end of November. I will keep you posted.

Yes the Google branded phone is be out next week with the use of the Google Software called “Android”. The phone will be branded with Google and go on sale September 23. I think the HTC Group out of Taiwan is making the cell phone for Google or should we call it a Gpda device  or Gphone.

Google is contributing programming resources to develop the new cell phone to help the wireless carrier T-Mobile reduce its operating costs. Google sure has the money to do it. The phone is going to be less that $200.00 dollars

Google had launched the Android  software last year. Google is planning to establish the software as s dominant operating system for wireless phones and of course improve the quality of web-browsing  for the moble handset

I have lived in an interesting part of technology development on the planet. Growing up The major technology break though was the cassette player and instamatic camera. Then the moon missions came an pushed the limits of micro-technology with writing pens you could use while laying upside-down, Teflon on cookware, the 35mm camera craze, calculators, LED watches and lets not for get computers.

One of the other changes that I have seen has been the change in marketing products to customers. I have for years gotten promotions via catalog on clothes, electronics, cameras, music, books and many other things you could purchase though the mail. It was always easy to call an 800 number if you could not wait for the product and was in a hurry.

Back when the bulk of all catalog advertising that I received was about cameras and electronic stuff. You could spend hours and hours going through all of the different products. Then came the time to compare prices of other cameras or products to see when catalog company offered the best deal. One catalog that came back to mind was from a New York Camera Store that sells audio and Video electronics along with digital cameras. The camera store in question is 42 Street Photo. They had some of the best catalogs on camera stuff, now I found them reaching broader audience via 42Photo.com. 42 Street Photo is one company that has changed with times from cameras and photo reproduction sales to more of camcorder sales, digital camera sales and mp3 player sales. There business is still about cameras; it is just that cameras have changed so much just in the last few years. Nice to see a business make it through the technology of change.

Not sure about if I like the old catalogs or being able to see the product from the Internet. Both would be better.
