It is that time of year when everyone is getting invitations. We usually get several wedding invitations in the first week of the year. I wrapped the can opener in the car on the way to his house. The party had started when we got there. Everything was going good until gift time. As she opened all of her gifts she would tell each person how much she liked it. Then came the Gift! She smiled and said I know I will love this gift because last year he gave me a can opener and I have not let him forget it! I can not tell you what my stomach did but not as much as his. When she opened it not a sound was made. Then suddenly he laughed and I joined in and then so did everyone else. He said no honey I will get your real gift it is in the car. That year she got a big screen TV! Thank heavens we had gone crazy at the electronics sale!
