I have noticed over the years with computers that I buy all start out working well, then progressively getting slower. It does not matter how many times you defrag, the computer gets slower. The one way I found to extend their working business live to install more computer memory. By adding this memory it enables the browser software and internet software work at a more rapid pace. And speed is what it is all about. With the new version of Windows coming in 2009 do you think the 2GB and 4GB memory that todays computer with work well with the new windows. My guess would be NOT. That way they can keep the memory folks in business.

Too Lock or to UnLock that is the question

Now that the iPhone has been out for awhile, even with an upgrade 3GB version that the people that bought the first time, bought it again. The big push now is to get an unlocked phone. Once your phone is unlocked then you can utilize other services and other software. I think from a phone stand point this hacking into a phone is getting kind of rediculous from the stand point of almost insanity. With electronic manufactures knowing the equipment can be hacked into and changed, this is why the ones of us that do not hack into phones suffer. We are reduced on phone options do to hacking mess. Time to go watch my cable TV, little fuzzy today, then you cannot complain when it is free :).

Now that it is Fall it is Spring again

Not sure why but whenever the seasons change it is time to change something about the house. Go figure. Now that Fall is in full force, it is time to change the inside and clean out some stuff, aka Spring cleaning. I do not mind cleaning, but to do it at ever change of the season. We have been storing toys, clothes, baby bedding, various other baby items, magazines and a ton of other merchandise designated as keepsake items. Shifting these items to the barn is not the problem, the problem is the barn is packed to the ceiling and it will not take anymore. At somepoint stuff needs to be give-a-away or get-rid-of stuff. :) Maybe one day

When the clothes get tight

When I buy clothes I buy them to fit. I will spend alot of time to find the clothes that I want and size them to fit. When every we put on a few extra pounds. At this stage some of us will start working out, using weight loss pills, changing our diets or a combination of all. This mix can help in the short run but focus on the exercise would be the best action. I guess I better get started.

Economy Down, IT Jobs UP

Now the big bailout has happened, I read that we will loose jobs until the financial market catches up to start lending money. But my questions is if there is a slow down in job market then why are there thousands of IT jobs offered on the internet career board sites. When the IT jobs start drying up off the net is then I will start believe the economy is slowing down.

When your eyes expire

Have you noticed that things you buy have a limited life. What ever happened when you bought a product that is would last a long time, that is where the saying comes from “Getting your monies worth”. It seems like from cars to tv’s, that the product has very short life span and need to be replaced in a few years, even the multi-thousand dollar car. These days they design eyeglasses to only last a year, most of my eye glasses last over 5 years. For some reason your vision prescription expires every year, does that mean your eyes are now bad. The eye-glass people will not make your glasses if your vision has expired. But when my eyes expire they still work.

Going Green with Computer Desks

I am not sure why this is, but everytime I buy a computer, the computer users want computer desks. This is a thing with human nature. The desk that I have is very old desk that I put my computer. Kinda like something old and something new to balance it out. Actually I have never had a new desk, I just like old wood. Now they do make some new desks for computers that very attractive to have. I will probably always have an old desk, I think that way will be more Green friendly. That is it the next time someone gets a new computer and wants a new computer desk, I will tell them it would be better keep the old desk to save some trees.

The automaker is working on connecting to younger car buyers who use internet tools like Web 2.0 as part of their daily lives. GMnext.com is the name and Social networking is the games. GM is hoping the GMnext social media efforts will help create a more loyal base of potential customers that will choose GM when the auto industry gets stronger. From a marketing point of view this is brilliant, draw them in the social networking, offer free stuff and make them a customer for life. Simply brilliant.

A Tire of a problem

This week has been unusual. One day three of the four tires on the van went flat. Do know what the odds are for this to happen at once. We tried pumping them with a hand bicycle pump. That did not work well. We had can of air but for some reason did not us it. The neighbors were home so we proceded to barrow their air compressor. More problems arose do the air tools for sending air to the tire was not the correct device. After trying 3 air adapters, we finally found the correct one. Trying to leave for the past two hours we were able to leave.

Next time a can-of-air for all tires, a must to have. Better to e safe than sorry.

Pilot fly’s across Engish Channel

A man name Rossy who is a full-time Ailrbus A320 pilot went on the mission fly across the english channel his self-made contraption. The contraption was hitched a on airplane ride and take to about 8000 feet high over Calis, France. Then the composite wing rocket airplane was released, the engines were ignited while still in the plane and Rossy wore a flame-resistant suit to protect his back against the flames of the engine blast. He rocketed at 120 MPH, for about 22 miles and did it in 13 minutes thanks to the help of the four kerosene-powered jet turbines affixed to the composite wing. The rocket kit is basically an jet-assisted rocket pack glider with an 8-foot wingspan. Pretty guttsy flight, I understand the wants to fly across the Grand Canyon next. I guess he is doing it cause it is there.

Deer control for your Garden

For years my father has lived in the country area city. He likes to grow flowers and food. Some of the food he grows is corn, tomatoes, carrots and other produce for his own consumption. One of his biggest issues has been keeping critters out of the garden. The biggest one is the deer. What? The small hoof prints with the ability to reach over the four-foot fence to pull up and damage the garden produce. The deer damage was two fold, one the fencing around the garden has to be repaired every other day, two the lose of produce that you have spent money, blood, sweat and tears getting the food developed to eat. Lets also mention the destruction of flower plants and grass destruction.

Then on March I went to the annual Home and Garden show, at the HG show there was a product that you could sprinkle around your garden. This mixture works like mothballs that repel moths, the grain mixture was a deer repellent supposed to keep the deer intruders away from your garden. It works for a while until he could harvest the produce. Then when produce gone the deer damage went away. But as the planting season comes back around the deer comes back. Now there are electronic deer repellent for your garden along with DeerOff repellent from the folks of Havahart. They have available many different quantities sizes of their DeerOff products and a couple of electronic repllants that I am interested in trying one of those. It getting cooler Deers beware.

Looks like the Hulu folks are trying to get you stay longer by reviewing the tv shows and movies after you watch them. From a increase page view stand point, sky is the limit. As much as viewers like watching tv shows, the bringing in socializing into the site will increase their content and also show reviews.
