Fall is now here, time to prepare our lives for cooling weather.  We started doing some cleanup and getting ready over the week end.  I am kinda glad that summer is over.  But the positive side is with days getting shorter there will be more time to blog. To fight off the upcoming changes would to be head down south to the carribean for one of those cruises on a ship.  There are lots of folks who do winter crusies  in Bahamas and summer cruises in Alaska. Sounds like a plan count me in.

Tweadered the Twit

One of the biggest issues I have with Twitter, the social microblog that overloads about every two hours, has been not being able to track conversations with other Twitters. Now comes the threaded conversations via Tweader.  The way Tweader works is you copy a URL and past into Tweader, you will be able to see a threaded conversation of the related tweets or conversations for your post. The cool thing about this is you can ask a question or take a poll and track all the answers from that one question. This also opens the way for multiple polls and tracking the types of posts will become the next hottest thing to do with Twitter.

Which Cat do I stay with?

Posted on September 19, 2008
Filed Under Digital Hardware | Leave a Comment

The other day I do some network cabling. I have some cabling in Cat-5, some in Cat-5e and have been thinking about doing some Cat-6. The first time I had to cable in Cat-5e,  I ran into some problems with the wall Cat5e Keystone jack. Cat-5e works best with a cat-5e wall jack, the network traffic moves faster over the Cat-5e cable connection than a cat-5. The next step for 1000mb traffic is designed to run on cat-6, I am sure when the need arises I will have to go to pain of configuring the new wire pattern. Hmmm, I could buy the network cable pre-made. Sweet.

Yes the Google branded phone is be out next week with the use of the Google Software called “Android”. The phone will be branded with Google and go on sale September 23. I think the HTC Group out of Taiwan is making the cell phone for Google or should we call it a Gpda device  or Gphone.

Google is contributing programming resources to develop the new cell phone to help the wireless carrier T-Mobile reduce its operating costs. Google sure has the money to do it. The phone is going to be less that $200.00 dollars

Google had launched the Android  software last year. Google is planning to establish the software as s dominant operating system for wireless phones and of course improve the quality of web-browsing  for the moble handset

There is a time in all of our lives growing up that our bodies change as we progress to adults. This includes new teeth, height, increased foot size and development the mind full of mush. One of the bad issues of some teens is that dreaded skin enhancement of acne. This enhancment puts a stress on you mental faculties, mine lasted for 15 years and still rears its ugly head ever once in a while. My children get access to new treatments that are a 100 percent better for controlling acne than the old pink lotion that was used.  Wonder if they will ever find a cure? We can dream.

Health Insurance is health maintenance

Have you noticed that our Health is important to all of us. If you have young ones it is good to have health insurance, unless you are wealthy. My use of health insurance has come in very handy over years from bicycle crashes to clipping the finger tips being clipped off. Not to mention all of the bad colds and sickness that is part of growing up. I find having health insurance is more like maintence insurance against truely major illness that could keep you in the hospital for a long time. Health insurance for our family can cost, but the trade off for protect is worth it.

Remembering your first car

Your first car was freedom. This new found freedom would mean you go where you wanted and even take a few of buddies with you. Once you go your new wheels it was time to clean it up and customize it to your required taste. The other fun things to do with your automobile is to tune your car for speed and performance, it did not matter in which order. The old school performance of a car was big carb and new headers. Now since the coming of 1981 cars, performance adjustments of power, torque tuning, and ways to improve fuel mileage is done with digital computer performance chips. There are ways to even re-program your current car performance chips. The folks at StreetBeatCustoms offers you several ways to improve your car or trucks performance with computer Performance Chips or reprogram your automobiles ECU. These performance chip brains are good for improving gas mileage, this a good thing with fuel being so high.

Just wish I could have go a hold of my dads old mustang before he got rid of it. That is ok I got a Gran Torino with 400 engine in it. That gave me a little power. :)

Vista - Interface for users

Posted on September 13, 2008
Filed Under Digital Software | Leave a Comment

Microsoft has produced operating systems for computers for many years, I can remember when it started out with 3.0 windows. Their operating system has developed better functionality for the user base. The latest Windows Vista is Microsoft’s latest computer operating system to run your computer or laptop.

Vista seems to have a nicer looking interface than the previous windows operating system versions. The interface in turn makes the vista operating system more friendly to us Vista users. You will find that Vista is easier to navigate through your files and folders on your hard drive. This new windows does a easy search bar, It looks very 2.0 from internet speak.

Vista is packed with many helpful new features for the end user from photo editing to storage and retrieving you old photos. Along with undelete if you crop processed a photo you want to see whole again. Even time has passed, Vista enables you save the original photo encase you change your mind later.

Games have been designed for the windows Vista operation system. This makes games run much faster than its previous XP. Lets not forget the new DirectX10 it is only available on the vista windows and is set-up to be the next generation in the gaming world.

Vista has been improving on its updates and making the vista operating system more stable. About 99.9 percent of all your old windows programs will work with vista, making no worries about upgrading to vista.

This is one of my favorites. Vista also has spent a lot of time and money to make it harder for your PC to get a virus or spyware. This one option is worth the price and effort to upgrade to vista. Without the virus and spam stuff your computer should be quicker and stay up running longer. Cool. Overall the new Vista is best for ease of use of the computer operations system. This make more people that have not spent the time learning the operating system to handle a computer better. This is what it is all about easy usability, means more users of a computer.

Always remember 9/11

Myspace Layouts

zSIFT.com

Today is a day of remembrance for all the Americans that died on 9/11. We shall always remember this day, even after those that caused this have been destroyed. On this 7th anniversary of 9/11 all of the TV networks have ignored the remembrance of this day. Shame :(

We shall remember with anyone’s help

The September 11 attacks were a series of co-ordinated suicide attacks by Islamic terrorists that were part of al-Qaeda movement on the New York Twin Towers, the Pentagon and the fourth plane crashed into a field in rural Somerset County, Pennsylvania. You know al-Qaeda the major Terror organization in the world.  On that morning of September 11, 2001 terrorists affiliated with al-Qaeda hijacked four commercial passenger jet airliners.  The hijackers intentionally crashed two of the airliners into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, killing everyone on board and many thousands of lives working in the buildings, both WTC buildings to collapse within two hours, also destroy several othe WTC building next to them.

I remember getting a call to check the internet and find out what happen with the airplane crashing into one of the Twin Tower buildings. While I was reading to find out want happen, the radio announced a second plane crashed into the other tower.

The Terrorist hijackers crashed a third airliner into the Pentagon. The Last terrorist hijacked flight the passengers and flight crew attempted to retake control of the plane from the terrorist, that was redirected toward Washington, D.C., but the American heros was able to make the terrorists crash the plane in an open field.

2,974 people died in the attacks made up nationals of over 90 different countries. The terrorist act also cost our economy trillions of dollars of lost production.

Financial retirement Ground Hog day

Posted on September 8, 2008
Filed Under Digital Financial | Leave a Comment

In the movie ground hog day the main star kept living the same day over and over. Not to many months ago the housing market had just finished a boom time, some houses would sell in as little as a week. Any house put on the market would sale with most making more than the estimated value. This was a great time for home sellers. Now we are in the down part. Home sellers are having a hard time selling a house, this is what is called a buyers market. This was due to mortgage industry being greedy and selling to anyone no matter if the loan could be paid back or not. The interest rates are very low, some of the lowest int the 40 years I think. Everyday you here about financial industry companies like banks and mortgage being taking over by the federal government due to bad managment. Home price have fallen as much as 40 percent. This is the time to buy a home.

If you are looking to purchase a home or just clean up your credit, there is a free service that will give you a BillsIQ quiz and give you suggestions to improve your financial score. I took the test, it was very informative. One aspect of my test was ways to get Credit card debt help.  Another aspect of everyones financial future is retirement planning. This is good to take your time over many years to the maxium retire income. The BillsIQ also covers help with retirement planning. I like help in these matters. The more heads the better. Unlike Ground Hog Day you days do not repeat they keep going and going until one day they are gone.

Year round fashion wear

Posted on September 8, 2008
Filed Under Digital Shopping | Leave a Comment

Fashion in 1600 BC in the ancient times in Greece, clothing consisted of babies wore nothing, children would wear a cloth wrapped around their waist like shorts and they were bundled up in more cloths when the weather would get cold. Men would usually wore tunics that were made of linin or wool, I itch bad from wool that would not have worked for me.  Women wore large sheets of of cloth that would pinned in some fasion, making sure the cloth would stay in place on their bodies.

I will assume the colder the weather the more clothing was warmer and more of it. Today with the invention of a heater you can wear little clothing with large jackets to keep warm when you are outside and keep the littleness of fashion clothing. There is a new line of fashion clothing called “Find me Sexy?“, they are still in beta, this is fashion clothing for those that are little conceited. This clothing is designed for year round wear, just buy a jacket.

Posted on September 8, 2008
Filed Under Non-Digital ramblings | Leave a Comment

This past weekend was rough, the only thing I could do was sleep and watch TV. I some 48 hour flu that lingers on for 96 hours. We know that works out. The congestion, with body aches, headaches, the headaches what done me in from blogging or just about anything else on a computer. I was having withdrawals. The congestion was pretty bad, should have use one of those dehumidifiers. Maybe I would have been able to breath better. Today my eyes burn and water looking at a computer screen but the headaches have gone away for now. I can only hope. Maybe I should take a nap?
