There are many times in life when you need power. Over time we take the power company for granted, giving us continuing electricity to run our office equipment, phone system and servers. It is good to have a battery backup, those work ninty-nine percent of every power outage to keep you equipment running. I like having a backup with a Diesel Generator that will kick in and provide power to the battery backups running. This helps the server stay up and running. I also had the opportunity to utilize a Portable Diesel Generator, This generator was used to keep the phone system and company computer server up and running because half the building was on a seperate power grid, the down half hosted the equipment. But I believe to be prepared, this way you will have no stress the next time the power blinks or stays out for a extended amount of time. Installing a Cummins Diesel Generator can keep your sever room up and running as long as you feed the diesel fuel that it requres. Our local power company used Generators to keep there power supplier equipment running, encase there power feed gets cut off.

One of the most important inventions of the world that has taken civilization to the peak where we want to homestead instead of hunting and gathering is power. Power runs all of our computers, TV’s, toasters and even our air conditioning in our home or business. But once we have power it can go out on you or have a power hiccup. These hiccups or fluctuations can cause damage to anything that is run by electricity and especially electronic items. I cannot tell you how many power supplies in computers I have replaced over the years due to power fluctuations. If you want to regulate the flow of power to your enterprise server, home or building you will need to install a Diesel Generator. The generator will kick in when the actual power goes out. Over the years I have installed several Diesel Generators, I find these types of generators work best in all weather types, and the best part is they will furnish you a flow of power for your needs. There is nothing more comforting than the sound of generator kicks in when ever there is a power loss. If your business does not have a generator, I would suggest to get something like a Towable Diesel Generators. You can keep this type of generator in a storage room or basement until your power goes out to your server or phone system, you know these are the two most important things that get employees upset when they no longer have access to them. If the power goes out how will be able to Twitter.

When I was CIO of a national wholesale tire company, our headquarters was in a downtown area in a sixy year old building. If you have ever worked in a sixty year old building you know the power is not upto perfect electrical standards. This is where a UPS comes in handy to regulate the incoming power to your mainframe. The only problem with a UPS is it has a limited amount of time your batteries will keep you server up without additional electricity. To fix this issue because I had to keep all 16 tire wholesale warehouses, 16 retail tire stores, several commerical tire stores and re-capping plant able to access the enterprise server to run their business opperations. Directly behind the computer room was an open area bricked wall lockable room that I decided to install a Diesel Generator. This way when the electrical stops the power transfer switch kicks in power from Diesel Generator until normal power from the power company comes backup, cool keeping up and running 24/7. At some locations where they had Towable Diesel Generators that they used in normal business doubled to use as a power backup. The generators were a dream, within 30 seconds of the power going out, it kicked in and kept the servers running. The generator also makes you money by keeping your business locations running. The one funny story related to generators was when there was a heavy rain and lighting for hours,. Then I heard a snap and pop, the generator kept starting up and going off, had to go out in the rain and turn off. The lighting had hit the power converter box, so it did not know what to do until I got it replaced.
